PRO Profile – Jessica Rovira
Biography & Methodology
Jessica Rovira first heard a calling for Yoga in 2013 and took her first yoga class. It was an Ashtanga class, and she was extremely challenged through it. Yet, she believed and went through it. When she made it out of that class, she immediately felt the essence of Yoga running through her veins.
Subsequently, this deep connection with yoga sent her diving deep into the Philosophy of Yoga. Three months later, she enrolled in Yoga Teacher Training at Yogamatrix Studio with Edely Wallace. Here, she began a journey into Hatha Yoga. Two years later, she returned back to the Ashtanga Yoga practice and did a 200HR training with teacher Maureen Dinkins at Urban Ashtanga. Today, she is a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher with 200HRS in Hatha Yoga and 200HRS in Ashtanga Yoga. Although she has only been on her Asana Yoga journey for 4 years, she has been practicing Karma and Bhakti Yoga her whole life.
More than yoga, Jessica Rovira has developed a strong connection with her spirituality. This allows her to practice energy clearing with her ability to heal with or without touch. She uses these abilities to guide the people who are in need. As a result, her practice can have a profound impact on your physical and mental health.
In this field, she always hears the same concern, “I’m not flexible.” And, she always responds, “If you can breathe, you can do Yoga.” In fact, she heard someone say this once and because it was such a simple and true statement, it stuck with her. Finally, she always encourages her students to accept where they are in their practice, whether they are beginners or ten-year veterans. Namaste!
